Acclimating New Fishes to Aquarium
by catdogfishstore.infoIt is very important to remember that aquatic animals particularly fishes are much more sensitive to their environment. Any changes in their environment with regard to temperature or water quality can certainly make them sick and there are chances that they may die because of this sudden unwelcome change.
In order to prevent the losses of your fishes, you must acclimatize them. For this purpose open the fish bags and check the temperature of the water in the fish bags. This can be done by placing the thermometer under the bag so that the water lies over the sensor of the thermometer. If the temperature of the bag is different from that of bag temperature then a large temperature difference method must be used for acclimatizing the fishes. A large temperature difference method means preparing a bucket of clean water that is at the same temperature as that in the fish bags. After setting the temperature accordingly take the fishes from bags and place them in the aquarium.
